Glen's Tangy Beef Brisket
- 1 large onion
- 12 cup butter
- 1 (28 ounce) bottle ketchup
- 1 12 cups brown sugar
- 12 cup Worcestershire sauce
- 13 cup fresh lemon juice
- 2 tablespoons chili powder
- 1 12 teaspoons hot pepper sauce
- 1 teaspoon prepared horseradish
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 12 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 (6 lb) boneless beef brisket
- In a saucepan, saute onion in butter until tender.
- Add the next 9 ingrs., bring to a boil.
- Reduce heat, simmer uncovered, for 30-40 minutes Place brisket in a roasting pan.
- Add 3 cups of sauce.
- Cover and bake at 350 degrees for 4 hours, basting occasionally.
- Skim fat.
- Remove brisket, thinly slice the beef and return to pan.
- Add remaining sauce if desired.
