Pot Pie Turkey, Chicken Or Beef Recipe
- 2/3 c. butter
- 2/3 c. onion, minced
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 3 1/2 c. chicken broth (can use bouillon cubes, chicken or possibly beef)
- 3 1/2 to 4 c. chicken, beef or possibly turkey, cut into bite-size pcs
- 1 (20 ounce.) Packages peas & carrots, frzn
- Pie crust (your own favorite or possibly frzn)
- 2/3 c. flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 1/3 c. lowfat milk
- Heat butter over low heat till melted.
- Blend in flour, onion, salt and pepper.
- Cook over low heat, stirring constantly till mix is smooth and bubbly.
- Remove from heat.
- Stir in broth and lowfat milk.
- Heat to boiling, stirring constantly.
- Boil and stir for 1 minute.
- Stir in meat and frzn vegetables.
- Pour into prepared double crust pie shell and bake at 425 degrees for 30 to 35 min.
- Makes 3 to 4 pies.
