Glazed Chorizo With Dates
- 2 links of dried chorizo sausage
- 16 dates, pitted
- 1 orange, zest of, preferably organic
- 14 cup maple syrup
- 16 small bamboo skewers
- Cut chorizo sausage links in 3/4 inch pieces.
- Heat up a skillet on medium-high heat.
- Sautee the chorizo until it renders fat, 4 to 5 minutes.
- Add dates and orange zest to the chorizo.
- Cook for another minute.
- Add the maple syrup and continue cooking while stirring the ingredients until the chorizo and dates are glazed, about one minute.
- Skewer together one date and two pieces of chorizo.
- Serve on a presentation plate.
