Hearty Brazilian Bean Soup

  1. Place 1/2 cup of the vegetable broth, onions, celery, garlic and bell pepper in a large saucepan.
  2. Cook, stirring occasionally over medium heat for 5 minutes.
  3. Add remaining ingredients, except chard.
  4. Cook over low heat for 20 minutes.
  5. Add chard and cook for 5 minutes.
