Bread Pudding With Strawberry Sauce Recipe
- Butter flavored Pam
- 2 (8 ounce.) loaves Italian bread
- 4 c. skim or possibly 1% lowfat milk
- 1/2 c. packed light brown sugar
- 2 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 1/2 c. frzn egg substitute, thawed or possibly 3-4 Large eggs
- 1/4 c. seedless raisins; optional
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 2 c. strawberries
- 1/4 c. sugar
- Preheat oven to 325 degrees.
- Spray 12 x 8 inch dish with Pam.
- Cut bread into chunks.
- In large bowl, with whisk or possibly fork, beat lowfat milk, brown sugar, and vanilla and Large eggs till well blended.
- Add in bread chunks and raisins.
- Toss to coat.
- Let soak 10 min, stirring occasionally.
- Spoon mix into baking dish.
- Proportionately sprinkle cinnamon.
- Bake 1 hour or possibly when knife inserted comes out clean.
- Blend strawberries and sugar in blender.
- Serve over hot pudding.
- Makes 12 servings.
