Tropical Fruit Sundaes with Pineapple-Rum Sauce

  1. Combine first 5 ingredients in heavy medium heat until sugar dissolves.
  2. Boil gently until reduced to 1 cup, about 10 minutes.
  3. Cool to lukewarm.
  4. Mix in rum.
  5. (Can be prepared 2 days ahead.
  6. Cover and refrigerate.
  7. Reheat to lukewarm and whisk to blend before serving.)
  8. Scoop frozen yogurt into balloon-shaped glasses or sundae dishes.
  9. Spoon lukewarm sauce over.
  10. Top with fruit and serve immediately.
