Spicy Ginger and Lemon Chicken

  1. Heat the oil in a large saucepan until it is hot but not smoking.
  2. Add the chicken leg and brown it over moderate heat, turning occasionally, 10 to 12 minutes.
  3. Add the remaining ingredients and bring to a boil.
  4. reduce the heat to low, cover and cook gently for 15 minutes.
  5. Serve with the natural cooking juices.
