South Texas Pecan Pie

  1. Heat oven to 350F
  2. Bring pie crust to room temperature according to directions.
  3. Combine eggs, sugar, syrup, pecans and crushed chocolate tablet in a large mixing bowl.
  4. Mix with an electric mixer on medium speed until blended.
  5. Pour pecan pie filling into unbaked pie crust.
  6. Bake on lower oven rack for 45 minutes or until a knife inserted in the center comes out clean.
  7. Cool pie completely before serving.
