Chocolate Raspberry Bars

  1. Combine flour and 1 cup sugar in a bowl; cut in butter with pastry blender until mixture is crumbly.
  2. Add egg and almond extract; stir well.
  3. Set aside 1 cup of flour mixture for the topping.
  4. Press remaining flour mixture into a lightly greased 13x9-inch pan.
  5. Spread raspberry jam evenly over dough.
  6. Combine reserved flour mixture, chocolate morsels and almonds; stir well.
  7. Sprinkle topping over raspberry jam; gently press topping into jam with a fork.
  8. Bake at 350F for 40 minutes or until lightly browned.
  9. Cool on wire rack.
  10. Combine powdered sugar and milk in small bowl; stirring until mixture is smooth.
  11. Drizzle glaze over the toppings.
  12. Cut into bars.
