Tasty Candied Pacific Saury in a Frying Pan
- 3 Pacific saury
- 100 ml Mirin
- 50 ml Sake
- 50 ml Soy sauce
- 3 tbsp Sugar
- 6 slice Ginger
- Gut the pacific saury, wash in water, and cut into bite-sized pieces.
- Add all of the ingredients to a frying pan, heat, and bring to a boil.
- Once it boils, cover with a lid, reduce to low heat, and simmer for 10 minutes.
- After 10 minutes use a spatula to turn the saury over.
- Replace the lid and simmer for another 10 minutes.
- Stop the heat after 10 minutes and let it sit awhile.
- Warm it before eating, transfer to a serving plate, and top with the cooking liquid and it's complete.
