Porter Beef
- 2 pounds beef, steak
- 1 1/2 pounds onions
- 1/2 pound mushrooms
- 10 ounces guinness
- 10 ounces stock
- Cut meat into fairly large chunks and roll in seasoned flour.
- Brown in hot fat and remove from pot.
- Chop onions roughly and fry gently for 2 to 3 minutes.
- Return meat to pot.
- Add all other ingredients.
- Bring to the boil, reduce heat and simmer gently for 2 hours or until meat is tender.
