Lemon Cream Braised Cabbage
- 1/4 cup cream
- 1 each shallots finely minced
- 1/2 each lemon juiced
- 1 pound cabbage finely sliced or roughly shredded lengthwise
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 x black pepper plus salt to taste
- Heat a saucier pot or largish skillet over medium heat.
- Add the shallot, lemon juice and cream.
- Once heated add the cabbage and sprinkle with 1/2 teaspoon of salt.
- Mix to coat.
- Cover and simmer for about 9 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Taste and adjust seasonings with salt and pepper.
