La Paloma Divorcio (divorce) Recipe mframpton
- Ice
- Salt shaker
- Jigger of lime juice
- Jigger of good grade Tequila
- Squirt soft drink or some other grapefruit drink if Squirt is not available
- Salt the rim of the glass and fill with ice
- This is a very important step and really makes the drink special.
- Mexicans call it burning the ice.
- The effect is the ice will pit which makes it pleasingly chewable.
- Dust the ice in the glass lightly or to taste with salt and let it sit for a minute or two to burn the ice
- With the ice well pitted, pour half of the jigger of the lime juice in the glass and slosh it around smartly.
- Pour in some or all of the Tequila from the jigger
- Splash in some of the Squirt and stir
- Your drink is now ready to enjoy but what makes it even more fun is that the guest can splash in any amount of the remaining ingredients until they get it just how they want it.
- this drink goes down way too fast.
