Chili for a chilly day
- 31 oz can of pinto beans
- 15 1/2 oz can of Crowder peas
- 15 1/2 oz can light kidney beans
- 15 1/2 oz can of dark red kidney beans
- 15 1/2 oz can of great northern beans
- 4 3/4 lb 90/10 ground beef very lean
- 1/4 cup ground turmeric
- 1/4 cup ground cumin
- 1/4 cup onion powder
- 1/4 cup dehydrated onion flakes
- 1/4 cup Hungarian paprika
- 1/4 cup granulated garlic powder
- 1 tbsp smoked paprika
- 28 oz can of crushed tomatoes
- 28 oz can of tomato sauce
- 1 1/2 tbsp salt more if you need
- 2 tbsp red pepper flakes optional
- Brown your beef add onion flakes stir constantly.
- This will cause the meat to fill the whole chili not in clumps.
- When brown, still on heat, add beans and peas.
- Stir well.
- Add crushed tomatoes and sauce.
- Add all your ingredients together stir well.
- Let simmer stirring occasionally.
- Cover let sit for 15 minutes.
- Serve, garnish with red pepper flakes.
