Beef Loaf(Usda)

  1. Preheat oven to 375=B0 F. (moderate).
  2. Have four 8x8x2-inch baking pans= ready.
  3. Do not line pans for this recipe.
  4. Mix eggs and milk.
  5. Add remaining ingredients except meat.
  6. Beat well.
  7. Mix= in meat lightly.
  8. Divide mixture into four parts.
  9. Press each part into a= baking pan.
  10. Pack mixture tightly to avoid air pockets.
  11. Bake 1 hour or= until loaf is done.
  12. TO SERVE WITHOUT FREEZING: Serve immediately after removing from the oven.
  13. TO FREEZE: Cool for 30 minutes at room temperature.
  14. Remove from pans and= place on freezer wrap.
  15. Allow extra wrap to fold over top.
  16. Complete= wrapping by pulling paper up over top of food.
  17. Put edges of wrap together= and fold several times so paper lies directly on top of food.
  18. Fold ends of= freezer wrap over the top and seal with freezer tape.
  19. Label with name of= food, date of freezing, and last date the food should be used for best= eating quality (about 6 months).
  20. Freeze immediately for 10 to 12 hours= before removing packages from the pans.
  21. TO HEAT FROZEN FOOD: Preheat oven to 375=B0 F. (hot).
  22. Remove freezer wrap.
  23. = Place food in baking pan.
  24. Bake 1 hour or until center is hot.
