Crispy Chocolate Chip Cookies
- 1 1/3 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon fine salt
- 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, room temperature
- 3/4 cup super-fine sugar
- 1 large egg, at room temperature
- 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips

- Preheat oven to 400F.
- Line 2 baking sheets with parchment paper and set aside.

- Whisk flour, salt, and baking soda in a medium bowl.
- In a large bowl, beat butter and sugar using a mixer until light and fluffy, about 4 to 5 minutes.
- Beat in egg and then vanilla.
- Reduce mixer speed to low and gradually add dry ingredients to butter mixture until a soft dough forms.
- Stir in chocolate chips.

- Drop dough in heaping tablespoons, 3 inches apart, onto prepared baking sheets.
- Bake cookies until brown around edges, about 12 to 14 minutes.
- Transfer to a rack to cool.
- Repeat with remaining dough, allowing pans to cool in between batches.
