Nancys Cheesy Sloppy Joe Melts
- 1 pound Lean Ground Beef
- 3 stalks Celery, Sliced
- 1 whole Small Onion, Chopped
- 1 whole Green Pepper, Chopped
- 1 clove Garlic, Minced
- 1 cup Water
- 1/4 cups Ketchup
- 1/4 cups Heinz Chili Sauce
- 2 Tablespoons Apple Cider Vinegar
- 1 Tablespoon Worcestershire Sauce
- 1 Tablespoon Dried Parsley Flakes
- 2 teaspoons Brown Sugar
- 1 teaspoon Dry Mustard Powder
- 3/4 teaspoons Salt
- 1/4 teaspoons Pepper
- 1/2 teaspoons Paprika
- 1/2 teaspoons Chili Powder
- 1 can (5.5 Oz) Tomato Paste
- 6 Hamburger Buns
- Cheddar Cheese ( Sliced Or Grated)
- In a large saucepan, cook the beef, celery, onion, green pepper and garlic over medium heat until meat is no longer pink; drain grease if needed.
- Stir in next 13 ingredients (which is everything else on the above list, except the buns and the cheese).
- Bring to a boil.
- Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 1 hour.
- Cut hamburger buns in half and place on baking pan.
- Spoon mixture onto bun halves and cover with cheddar cheese.
- Put in oven and broil until cheese is melted and buns are nicely toasted.
- Serve and Enjoy!
- Makes 6 servings
