Old Bay Stew
- 1/2 pound beef, steak rib eye
- 3/4 cup onions finely chopped
- 1 1/2 teaspoons garlic chopped
- 1/2 cup celery chopped
- 1/2 cup sweet red bell peppers chopped
- 1 tablespoon old bay seasoning
- 1 cup mushrooms stem removed and sliced
- 1 each parsnips peeled and chopped
- 1 each turnip peeled and chopped
- 1 each potatoes peeled and chopped
- Cut the rib eye steak into about 1/2 cubes.
- Place beef in a 3 quart stock pot, and cook until browned.
- Add chopped onion, celery and chopped garlic.
- Cook 3 4 minutes or until onion is translucent.
- Add chopped red pepper, and cook for another 5 minutes, stirring often.
- Season with 1 tablespoon Old Bay Seasoning, and cook for 5 10 minutes.
- Add parsnips, turnips and potato.
- Cook, stirring often, for 20 minutes.
- Stir in mushrooms, and cook for another 5 minutes.
- Serve warm on top of the rice or your favourite bread.
