Spicy Red Beans and Rice
- 12-1 lb hamburger
- 15 ounces red beans
- 6 ounces medium salsa
- 6 garlic cloves
- 12 cup chopped onion
- 4 teaspoons cayenne pepper
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 cup rice (cooked)
- Sautee onion and garlic lightly in olive oil
- While sauteing begin cooking rice and browning burger.
- Add beans (undrained) and cayenne to onion and garlic, allow to cook 5-7 minutes or until lightly thickened.
- Add salsa and hamburger to mixture and allow to cook another 5-7 minutes to mix flavors and thicken a little more.
- Once thickened to your liking pour over rice and enjoy!
- *You could add some tomato paste if you wanted a little more sauce*.
