Grandmother's Tomato Relish Recipe

  1. Peel tomatoes.
  2. Chop tomatoes, onions and peppers.
  3. Combine with rest of ingredients and cook on medium to low heat for several hrs till relish turns a deep red color and is very thick.
  4. Spoon into sterile jars and seal.
  5. This is excellent on hamburger patties, leftover roast and black eyed peas.
  6. IT can be made with canned tomatoes, about 7 (28 ounce.)
  7. cans of a good brand, frzn minced onions and green peppers.
  8. Yield: 6 to 8 half pints.
