Sauteed String Beans
- 1 lb fresh green beans
- 3 garlic cloves
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- 12 cup chicken stock
- 18 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- 14 teaspoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon hot pepper oil
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 2 tablespoons green onions, finely chopped
- 1 12 teaspoons cornstarch
- 1 tablespoon water
- In a large pot of boiling water blanch the beans - 2 - 3 minutes.
- In a heavy skillet saute the beans and garlic in olive oil for 2 minutes.
- Add remaining ingredients except cornstarch and water.
- Mix cornstarch and water until smooth.
- Add to beans tossing to thicken the sauce and serve immediately.
