Taylor Pork Roll Sandwich

  1. On a cutting board open the package of Taylor pork roll and remove it from the plastic packaging.
  2. Lay four slices on top of each other and make small slits (about 4 slits that are 1/4 long) around the edge of the slices.
  3. This will prevent the pork roll from curling up during cooking time.
  4. Repeat with remaining slices.
  5. In a frying pan add oil and butter on medium heat.
  6. When melted and hot add 4 slices of pork roll (you will cook in two batches) and fry up each side until golden and crisp.
  7. This will take about 3-4 minutes per side.
  8. Place cooked pork on paper towels to absorb any excess fat.
  9. Repeat with the rest of the pork slices.
  10. In a small bowl add the mayonnaise and grainy mustard and mix with a spatula.
  11. Add some of this to the cut sides of each Kaiser roll/or bun you have chosen.
  12. Then add the pork slices and any other condiments you like.
  13. Add the top bun and serve.
  14. Serve with chips, potato salad, coleslaw, pickles!
  15. Enjoy.
  16. Note: Taylor Pork Roll is available here in the refrigerated aisle near pork sausage and breakfast sausage.
