Gg's Shrimp Dijon

  1. Combine first 5 ingredients in a saucepan over medium high heat.
  2. Add lots of pepper, to taste.
  3. Simmer 4 to 5 minutes until reduced to about 1 cup.
  4. Melt butter in a heavy notstick skillet over medium high heat.
  5. When butter begins to bubble add shrimp and saute 3 to 4 minutes, until pink.
  6. DO NOT overcook.
  7. Stir cognac or brandy into sauce just before serving and pour sauce over shrimp.
