Pecan Praline Topping

  1. Preheat oven to 300F.
  2. Butter rimmed baking sheet.
  3. Using fork, beat egg white and 1 tablespoon water in medium bowl until foamy.
  4. Add brown sugar and stir until sugar dissolves.
  5. Add pecan halves and toss to coat.
  6. Spread pecan mixture on prepared baking sheet (some egg white-sugar mixture will flow out onto baking sheet).
  7. Bake until nuts are deep brown and crisp, stirring occasionally, about 25 minutes.
  8. Remove from oven; stir to loosen nuts from baking sheet.
  9. Cool nuts completely on sheet.
  10. (Can be prepared 3 days ahead.
  11. Store in airtight container at room temperature.)
