Nouilles Avec Carottes Et Graines D'oeillette

  1. Sliver the carrots.
  2. (Slice the carrots lengthwise into quarter-inch slices; stack those slices and slice lengthwise again; cut crosswise into one-inch pieces.)
  3. You should have about one cup.
  4. Cook noodles in a saucepan, according to package directions, in salted water.
  5. Drop the carrots into boiling salted water and simmer about 3 minutes or until tender-crisp.
  6. Drain.
  7. When noodles are done, drain and return to the pan.
  8. Add the butter and carrots.
  9. Add the poppy seeds and stir.
  10. Salt and pepper to taste.
