Chocolate Oreo Truffle Balls
- 8 oz cream cheese room temp
- 1 packages oreo cookies (18oz.)
- 1 packages brick bakers chocolate (8oz.)
- scrape cream from oreos and put into a bowl.
- cream the cream cheese with the cream from the oreo until well blended.
- crush all the oreo cookies to very fine!
- mix 3/4 of the crushed cookies to the cream cheese mix.
- and the rest set aside in a shallow bowl.
- melt chocolate using a double boiler or microwave..
- form cream cheese mix into small 1 inch balls..
- lightly roll balls into remaining crushed oreo to give it just a dusting.
- lightly pack it down.
- then roll balls into melted chocolate.
- place balls onto wax paper lined cookie sheet.
- refridgerate for a few hours to overnight to harden.
- also perfect frozen!
- serve and enjoy!
- makes about 30 balls.
- depending on how big u make them.
- hint ( u may omit the step where u roll the balls into the oreo mix.. instead just blend all the cookie into the cream cheese mix)
- hint ( u may need more or less chocolate depending on how much u coat them.)
- for an added touch.. after rolling in melted chocolate add sprinkles for a festive look!
