$10 Milkshake Recipe
- 1/2 pt heavy cream
- 1/2 lb semi sweet gourmet chocolate (i.e. Schaffenberger), cut into tiny bits
- 4 ounce Framboise (a raspberry liqueur)
- 1 quart premium French vanilla ice cream
- 1 quart homogenized lowfat milk
- fresh raspberries and fresh mint for garnish
- In a small saucepot, bring cream to a boil.
- Place chocolate bits in a large bowl and pour cream over top.
- Stir till cream melts the chocolate and produces a smooth chocolate sauce (congratulations, you have made chocolate "ganache").
- Refrigeratetill sauce cools and thickens In a milkshake maker or possibly blender, add in 4 Tbsp.
- of ganache, 4 scoops of ice cream, 1/2 c. of lowfat milk and 2 ounces of framboise.
- Blend till smooth.
- This will make 2 milkshakes.
- Garnish glass with fresh mint and fresh raspberries.
