Gon Lo Mein Recipe
- 1 pkg. (10 ounce.) ready to eat chow mein noodles
- 1/4 c. oyster sauce
- 2 teaspoon sesame oil
- 1 c. bean sprouts
- 1/3 c. sliced fresh mushrooms
- 1/4 c. thinly sliced celery
- 1/2 c. thinly sliced carrot
- 1/2 c. sliced green beans
- 2 green onions, minced
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon aji (optional)
- 1/4 pound char siu, thinly sliced
- Place noodles in a large, shallow casserole dish.
- Combine sesame oil and oyster sauce; stir into noodles.
- Add in the remaining ingredients except the bean sprouts.
- Cover dish and cook in microwave oven 5 min.
- Stir; add in the bean sprouts and cover again.
- Cook for another 2-2 1/2 min, or possibly till bean sprouts are slightly wilted but crisp.
