Mandarin Pork Roast Recipe

  1. Trim excess fat from roast.
  2. Sprinkle roast with salt, pepper and garlic pwdr.
  3. Spread mustard over roast; place in a large Dutch oven.
  4. Cover and bake at 325 degrees till meat thermometer reaches 170 degrees (approximately 2 1/2 hrs).
  5. Drain Mandarin oranges, reserving liquid.
  6. Combine liquid and next 6 ingredients in a saucepan.
  7. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, till smooth and thickened.
  8. Remove from heat; stir in onion, green pepper and oranges.
  9. Spoon sauce over roast.
  10. Bake, uncovered, at 400 degrees for 30 min, basting occasionally.
  11. Slice pork and serve with pan drippings.
