Between the Sheets
- 1 -ounce brandy
- 1 -ounce rum
- 1/2 -ounce Cointreau
- 4 ounces freshly squeezed lemon juice
- Simple syrup, to taste*
- Serving suggestion: Garnish with fresh pomegranate seeds or an orange twist
- Combine ingredients in a cocktail shaker using simple syrup to sweeten to taste.
- Shake vigorously with ice.
- Pour into a chilled cocktail glass over ice.
- *Cook's Note: sugar syrup is a solution of equal parts sugar and water that is cooked over low heat until clear, then boiled for about minute.
- Cool and store in a squeeze bottle and use to sweeten drinks, to taste.
