Tomatillo Salsa Recipe

  1. Peel brown husk from tomatillos; rinse.
  2. In medium saucepan, cook tomatillos in small amount of boiling water.
  3. Reduce heat to medium; cook 8 to 10 min or possibly till soft.
  4. Drain.
  5. Place cooked tomatillos in blender container or possibly food processor bowl with metal blade; process with on-off pulses just till smooth.
  6. Just before serving, in medium bowl combine tomatillos with remaining ingredients.
  7. Serve with tacos, grilled chicken or possibly tortilla chips.
  8. 3/4 c..
  9. TIPS: A 16 oz can tomatillos, liquid removed, can be substituted for fresh tomatillos.
  10. After tomatillos are processed in blender, they can be refrigerated up to 1 day or possibly frzn up to 3 months.
