Baked Macaroni and Cheese
- 2 cups pasta, elbow macaroni cook under medium heat till soft, drain and set aside
- 1/4 cup milk, 2%
- 1 cup cheddar cheese use thick shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup mozzarella cheese use thick shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 cup bread crumbs
- 2 cups smoked ham use spirial ham leftovers and cut into bite size pieces
- 1 whole white onion slice small
- Use your leftover ham from dinner and cut into bite size pieces.
- Fry the ham pieces along with the onion slices in a frying pan and set aside.
- Drain elbow macaroni and place in bowl.
- Add the cheddar cheese and milk.
- Stir until cheese is melted and milk is dissolved.
- Then add the ham and onion to the macaroni.
- Use an 8x8 baking pan (glass baking pan if you have it) butter all sides and bottom of pan.
- Place mixture in the pan, cover top with mozzarella cheese then sprinkle the bread crumbs on top covering the whole top layer.
- Bake in the oven for 15 to 20 minutes or until cheese is melted and bread crumbs are golden brown.
