Peppermint Or Chocolate Dessert Recipe

  1. Mix wafers and butter and press into 9 x 9 x 2 pan, RESERVING 1/4 c. mix for topping.
  2. Spread 1 qt softened peppermint stick or possibly chocolate mint ice cream and freeze.
  3. Heat 1/2 c. butter and 2 squares unsweetened chocolate.
  4. Stir chocolate mix into 3 beaten egg yolks, 1 1/2 c. powdered sugar, 1/2 c. nuts and 1 tsp.
  5. vanilla.
  6. Cold thoroughly.
  7. Beat 3 egg whites till they form peaks.
  8. Fold egg whites into chocolate mix.
  9. Spread over frzn ice cream and top with reserved 1/4 c. wafer mix.
  10. Keep in freezer.
