Easiest Cole Slaw Ever!
- 1/2 cups Miracle Whip (or Your Favorite Store Brand)
- 1/2 cups Sugar (or Less To Your Taste)
- 1/2 whole Green Cabbage
- 1/4 teaspoons Salt, Or To Taste
- 1 dash Black Pepper, Or To Taste
- In small bowl, combine Miracle Whip and sugar.
- Stir well and set aside to allow sugar to dissolve.
- Wash and remove necessary leaves from cabbage, cut in half and remove core.
- (Save the other half of cabbage for another use, or if necessary, you may chop more to add to you cole slaw.)
- Cut prepared cabbage into 1 1/2-inch size hunks or something that will easily fit into the bowl of your food processor.
- Pulse in the processor 4-5 times to chop cabbage into pieces about 1/4 to 1/2 inch in size.
- Do not over process, you dont want puree.
- Pour chopped cabbage into a large bowl, add salt and pepper.
- Stir the Miracle Whip/sugar mixture to make sure sugar is dissolved and add to the cabbage.
- Stir all well, then cover and place in the fridge till needed.
- The mixture will get wetter as it sits.
- If you dont like your cole slaw as wet, add some more chopped cabbage, or if you like it drier, dont add all the dressing mixture.
- You can also add shredded carrots, onion, a sprinkling of celery seed, a teaspoon of vinegar, but I like it just straight up like the recipe and it goes well with BBQ, baked beans, chili dogs, or fried fish.
- It is a really, really easy recipe that you can tweak to your familys taste.
