Arroz con gandules/or garbanzos
- 2 cup Rice (can use more if desired)
- 1 can Gandules (pigeon peas)
- 1 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 2 packages Sazon (spanish meat seasoning)
- 1/4 cup Chopped garlic
- 4 tbsp Sofrito (spanish tomatoe based sauce)
- 3 dash Adobo (spanish seasoning)
- 3 cup water
- 1/2 cup Mojo (spanish marinade)
- Put medium-large sized pot on stove on medium heat and put oil to a bit of a sizzle
- Add rice (a tiny bit more oil on top), sofrito, Adobo, garlic, Sazon, mojo, and olives.
- Mix well and cover for 6 mins.
- Stir on and off so rice doesnt stick to pot.
- Add gandules (put liquid from can in rice too) and water.
- Mix well.
- Boil cover for about 15-20 min or until soft.
- Enjoy.
