Black Cow Caramel Sauce Recipe

  1. Boil root beer in a heavy medium saucepan till it is reduced to 2/3 c., 12 to 15 min.
  2. Remove from pan and set aside.
  3. Pour the sugar into the same pan.
  4. Drizzle water over so all over sugar is moistened.
  5. Cook over high heat, swirling pan often, till mix turns a rich amber color, 7 to 10 min.
  6. Remove from heat and add in butter.
  7. When it melts, stir it
  8. In and add in the cream and reduced root beer.
  9. Return to high heat and heat to a boil.
  10. Whisk vigorously.
  11. Serve warm or possibly cool.
