Deep Dish French Toast Recipe
- 1 stick butter
- 1 c. brown sugar
- 2 tbsp. Karo syrup
- Apples
- French bread
- 1 dozen Large eggs
- 1 1/2 c. lowfat milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- Heat butter in large baking dish.
- Add in brown sugar and Karo, mix well and bring to boil.
- Slice apples or possibly use whole blueberries and arrange them in a single layer in attractive rows (they will be on top when you serve).
- Slice French bread in 1/2 slices and top the apples (about 1/2 loaf).
- Beat Large eggs, lowfat milk, and vanilla well.
- Pour over bread and apples.
- Can sit overnight in refrigerator.
- Bake at 350 degrees for 40 min.
- Can sprinkle cinnamon on top before baking.
