Mary's nut roll

  1. Combine ingredients for filling.
  2. Use enough canned milk so that mixture can be spread over dough.
  3. Combine 1/2 cup canned milk, 2 tablespoons sugar, mix and heat to Luke warm.
  4. Add yeast.
  5. When double in size add 3 eggs, sour cream, salt, and softened butter.
  6. Gradually blend in 6 cups all purpose flour to the mixture one cup at a time.
  7. Mix and cover for 30 minutes
  8. Separate dough into 5 pieces.
  9. Roll out to 1/4 inch thick and spread filling over entire surface.
  10. Roll dough from smallest end.
  11. Place on parchment paper lined cookie sheet.let rise for one hour.
  12. Beat egg and 2 tablespoons of water and brush on top of rolls.
  13. Poke holes with fork across top of nut roll nan bake in a 350F oven for 350-40 minutes
  14. Mix 1 cup powdered sugar with a teaspoon vanilla and two tablespoons milk.
  15. Spread ed evenly over cooled rolls.
