Chicken Salad Sandwich Melt

  1. Preheat oven to 450F.
  2. Drizzle some oil in a skillet and preheat over medium-high heat.
  3. Season chicken with salt and pepper chicken; saute until browned on both sides and done all the way through, about 3 to 4 minutes on each side.
  4. Tenderloins dont take long to cook.
  5. Add chopped onions when chicken is close to being done and saute.
  6. When chicken is done, chop into bite-sized pieces or shred.
  7. Add chicken to a large bowl.
  8. Add mayo, relish, seasoning, and salt and pepper to taste.
  9. Mix all together.
  10. Lay buns open on a baking sheet.
  11. Scoop some chicken mixture onto a bun and top with shredded cheese.
  12. Place in the oven for about 5 minutes to melt the cheese and brown the edges of the bread.
  13. Serve on plate with tater tots!
