Hira Yachi (Okinawa-Style Pancakes) Regional Speciality of Okinawa
- 200 grams All-purpose flour
- 150 ml Japanese dashi stock
- 200 ml Water
- 1 can - 80 grams Canned tuna
- 1 Egg
- 2 tbsp Bonito flakes
- 1 dash Salt
- 2 Chinese garlic chives
- 3 tbsp Sesame oil
- 1 Japanese Worcestershire-style sauce or okonomiyaki sauce
- Add the ingredients to a bowl, and mix well.
- Cut the Chinese garlic chives into 1 cm lengths.
- Mix the Chinese garlic chives into the Step 1 batter.
- Add the water, and adjust the consistency.
- Heat 1 tablespoon of sesame oil in a frying pan, and cook the batter.
- It burns easily, so please make it thin and roll up.
- Cook over low heat.
- When finished cooking, cut into 4 portions.
- Serve on top of lettuce leaves on a plate.
- Serve with your desired sauce, and you're done!
