Tostones with Garlic Mayo

  1. Cook plantains in hot oil in medium skillet on medium heat 3 min.
  2. or until tender and evenly browned, turning after 1-1/2 min.
  3. Use slotted spoon to transfer plantains to work surface; flatten to 1/4-inch thickness.
  4. (See tip.)
  5. Return plantains, 3 or 4 at a time, to skillet; cook 1 min.
  6. on each side or until golden brown on both sides.
  7. Remove from skillet; place on paper towel-covered plate to drain.
  8. Cover to keep warm.
  9. Repeat with remaining plantains.
  10. Sprinkle evenly with 2 tsp.
  11. cheese.
  12. Mix mayo, garlic, milk and remaining cheese until blended.
  13. Serve with plantains.
