Molasses Oat Bran Cookies Recipe

  1. TIP: Two Large eggs can be substituted for thawed cholesterol-free egg product.
  2. In large bowl, combine sugar, oil, egg product and molasses; mix well.
  3. Lightly spoon flour into measuring c.; level off.
  4. By hand, stir flour, oats, oat bran, baking soda, cinnamon, ginger, salt and cloves into sugar mix till well blended.
  5. Cover; chill at least 1 hour for easier handling.
  6. Heat oven to 375 degrees.
  7. Spray cookie sheets with cooking spray or possibly lightly grease with shortening.
  8. Shape dough into 1-inch balls; roll in sugar.
  9. Place 2 inches apart on sprayed cookie sheets.
  10. Flatten slightly with bottom of glass dipped in sugar.
  11. Bake at 375 degrees for 7 to 10 min or possibly till cookies are set and tops are cracked.
  12. Cold 1 minute; remove from cookie sheets.
  13. About 5 dozen cookies.
