Banana Brownies

  1. Preheat oven to 350u0b0.
  2. Grease an 8-inch square baking pan. In a large bowl with a mixer set at low speed, blend flour, sugar and margarine until mixture resembles coarse corn meal.
  3. Blend in baking powder.
  4. Stir in egg and bananas.
  5. Gently fold in chocolate pieces and lemon rind.
  6. Add a little milk if batter is stiff. Spread mixture in baking pan.
  7. Bake 25 to 30 minutes or until cake tester or wooden toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
  8. Cool.
  9. Cut into 1 1/2-inch pieces.
