Black Jack Barbecue Sauce With Short Ribs

  1. In a large saucepan, combine coffee, Worcestershire sauce, ketchup, vinegar, sugar, chili powder, salt, onion, and garlic.
  2. Simmer for 25 minutes.
  3. Transfer mixture to a blender or food processor and puree.
  4. You will have about 5 cups of sauce.
  5. Place ribs in a large flat pan.
  6. Pour 3 cups of the sauce over the ribs, turning ribs to coat with sauce.
  7. Pierce meat with a large fork.
  8. Marinate for 8 hours, turning once.
  9. Remove ribs from marinade and brush off excess liquid.
  10. Bake ribs in a 350F oven for 1 hour and 30 minutes.
  11. Heat remaining 2 cups of sauce and serve on the side.
  12. Marinade can be stored in the refrigerator.
  13. Serves 6.
