Grandmother's Lemon Meringue Pie Recipe

  1. Combine sugar, cornstarch and salt.
  2. Add in lowfat milk gradually.
  3. Cook over direct heat till thick and clear, about 5 min.
  4. Add in beaten egg yolks and cook 6 min longer.
  5. Remove from heat.
  6. Add in juice; rind and butter.
  7. Cold.
  8. Pour in shell and top with meringue.
  9. Bake in 400 degree oven up to 10 min.
