Chocolate Filled Marshmallow Bars Recipe
- 6 c. puffed rice
- 1/4 c. butter
- 1/3 c. chunk-style peanut butter
- 32 lg. marshmallows
- 1 (6 ounce.) pkg. chocolate chips
- Heat puffed rice in shallow pan in preheated oven at 350 degrees about 10 min.
- Pour into large, greased bowl.
- Combine butter, peanut butter, and marshmallows in top of double boiler.
- Heat over warm, not boiling, water till melted.
- Stir occasionally.
- Pour over puffed rice, stirring till all kernels are proportionately coated.
- Firmly press half of mix into greased 7 x 11 inch pan.
- Sprinkle chocolate chips over top.
- Place in preheated 350 degree oven 2 to 3 min or possibly till chocolate is softened.
- Remove from oven; spread chocolate with spatula.
- Press remaining puffed rice mix over chocolate.
- Cold; cut into bars.
