Sourdough Oatmeal Cookies Recipe

• 3/4 c. packed brown sugar
• 6 tbsp. butter
• 1/4 c. shortening
• 1 c. Sourdough Starter
• 1 c. all-purpose flour
• 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
• 1/4 teaspoon grnd cinnamon
• 1/4 teaspoon grnd cloves
• 1/4 teaspoon grnd allspice
• 1/4 teaspoon grnd ginger
• 1/4 teaspoon grnd nutmeg
• 1 1/2 c. rolled oats
• 1/2 c. minced walnuts
• 1/2 c. snipped pitted dates
• 1/2 c. currants
• 1/4 c. minced raisins

1. These cookies pack well so you can take them along for picnics.
