Trash Can Turkey

  1. preparation for the "oven"
  2. Lay 2 sheets of the foil on ground where you will be cooking the turkey, preferably on sand.
  3. Be sure to have foil big enough so it sticks out all around trash can.
  4. Drive stake into middle of foil, to hold turkey about 6 to 10 inches off ground.
  5. Preparation for the turkey
  6. Rub the turkey with olive oil
  7. Add the rub all over turkey, even under skin if you can.
  8. Be generous.
  9. Place turkey on the stake.
  10. Be sure it is off the ground.
  11. Place trash can over turkey.
  12. Add 3 quarters of the charcoal around bottom on the foil.
  13. Place the rest of the charcoal on top of trash can.
  14. Light charcoal.
  15. Let cook for 2 hours and 15 minutes.
  16. While it's cooking, drink the beer and have a cigar.
  17. (Optional of course)
  18. When turkey is done, remove can with gloves on, it will be hot.
  19. Remove turkey with forks.
  20. Enjoy!
