Holiday Cranberry-Pineapple Sauce

  1. Combine pineapple juice, water, nutmeg, and sugar and simmer over low heat until sugar is melted.
  2. Stir in the whole berries and crushed pineapple and increase the heat to medium-high.
  3. Stir occasionally, until berries have burst and the sauce begins to thicken.
  4. (5-10 minutes).
  5. Remove from heat and stir in cinnamon.
  6. Cool in refrigerator.
  7. Can be made the day before the holiday meal.
