Strawberry Creme Brulee

  1. Preheat oven to 350.
  2. Beat together egg yolks and sugar in a large bowl until thick and lemon-colored.
  3. Add the salt.
  4. Slowly stir in the cream.
  5. Add vanilla and blend well.
  6. Pour into a glass pie pan.
  7. Place pan in a larger pan of hot water and bake for about 1 hour or until a knife inserted into the center comes out clean.
  8. Cool, then chill before serving.
  9. Melt the jelly over low heat in a small saucepan being careful not to burn.
  10. Dip the strawberries into the jelly and arrange on top of the chilled creme brulee.
  11. Brush remaining jelly in top as a glaze.
